In case you missed it, earlier this week HMRC launched the latest consultation into the proposed off-payroll working rules from April 2020.
As I’m sure you’re aware, the government announced during the 2018 Budget that the rules introduced into the public sector in April 2017 will be extended to the private sector from 6 April 2020.
According to gov.uk, the consultation is asking for views on several subjects that include:
- the scope of the reform and impact on non-corporate engagers
- information requirements for engagers, fee-payers and personal service companies
- addressing status determination disagreements
As Affiliate Members of the Institute of Interim Management (IIM), Laudale will be engaging with the proposed changes in whichever way we can, and we are encouraging our community of interims and contractors to do so. We know the IIM will be heavily engaged with this consultation, as I’m sure will the likes of IPSE and APSCo.
HMRC’s full consultation paper can be accessed HERE.
Laudale will be announcing an intimate gathering of interim managers and independent consultants, in partnership with the IIM, and no doubt IR35 will be on the agenda. It’s proposed for June 2019 in Manchester, so keep in touch for further information.
